Enhance Your Client Communication with WhatsApp Integration

Discover how SAM's new WhatsApp integration can streamline your communication with clients and enhance your real estate business.

By Mark Stepp

In today's fast-paced real estate market, effective communication with clients is crucial. With SAM's latest enhancement, agents can now connect with their clients on WhatsApp, simplifying interactions and improving response times.

Why Use WhatsApp for Client Communication?

WhatsApp is a widely-used messaging platform that offers a convenient way for agents to stay in touch with clients. By integrating WhatsApp into SAM, you can manage conversations alongside emails and texts, ensuring that all communications are organized in one place.

How to Get Started

To start using WhatsApp with SAM, you’ll need to connect your account through Setup → Integrations using your Twilio WhatsApp number. Once connected, you will benefit from several features designed to enhance your messaging experience:

  • Shared Inbox: Messages from clients will appear in a clear WhatsApp channel within your shared Inbox.
  • Session Timer: Know when you can reply freely without worrying about interruptions.
  • Photo Sharing: Send images directly while the session is open.
  • Conversation Filters: Easily filter your Inbox and Outbox to focus on WhatsApp discussions.
  • Error Reporting: WhatsApp errors will now be included in reports, making it easier to identify and resolve issues.

Customize Your Client Preferences

For each contact, you can:

  • Store their WhatsApp number.
  • Set WhatsApp as their preferred contact method.
  • Record marketing opt-ins as needed.

Create Tailored Messages

The new WhatsApp tab in Message Templates allows you to craft specific messages for this platform, separate from your standard SMS texts. You can also:

  • Attach photos for in-session replies.
  • Link to approved WhatsApp templates for outreach when a client hasn’t contacted you in the past 24 hours.

Automate Your Processes

Routines can now send WhatsApp messages directly, prioritizing this method if the contact is set up for it. If not, it can fall back to other methods like text or email. Additionally, keyword chat triggers allow you to:

  • Tag conversations for easy tracking.
  • Assign tasks to team members.
  • Set Important Dates to trigger specific routines.
