Mark Stepp
Co-Founder, CTO & Lead Systems Architect
Mark Stepp is a real estate technology pioneer, systems architect, and co-creator of SAM. For more than 36 years, he has worked alongside real estate professionals to understand how agents build relationships, manage transactions, generate business, and keep everything from falling through the cracks.
Long before artificial intelligence became part of the everyday business conversation, Mark was designing CRM platforms, workflow engines, and automation systems for the real estate industry. He has helped architect multiple generations of real estate technology, including two previous CRM companies, giving him a rare perspective on what agents actually need—and why traditional CRMs so often fail them.
Mark’s work has always been rooted in systems thinking. He believes the greatest challenge facing most agents is not a lack of ambition, talent, or leads. It is the absence of a connected system capable of remembering what needs to happen, making intelligent decisions, and helping the agent follow through consistently.
As Lead Systems Architect of SAM, Mark guides the platform’s foundational architecture, automation engine, data structure, routines, and AI capabilities. His goal is not to use technology to replace the agent. It is to remove the repetitive work, mental clutter, and operational pressure that prevent agents from doing what they do best: building relationships and serving people.
SAM represents the culmination of Mark’s decades of experience—a business operating system designed from the ground up for the way modern real estate professionals actually work.
