New Feature: Pause Routines for Greater Flexibility in Your Workflow
Discover the benefits of the newly introduced pause functionality for routines in SAM, enhancing your workflow management while maintaining productivity.
By Mark Stepp
As a real estate agent, managing your time effectively is crucial for success. The latest enhancement in SAM allows you to pause your routines, offering a solution for those moments when you need to step back without losing track of your progress.
Why Pausing Routines Matters
With the new pause feature, you can temporarily hide unfinished calendar activities while keeping completed tasks intact. This means you won’t be overwhelmed by unfinished items when you need a break or have other pressing priorities.
How It Works
- When you pause a routine, any ongoing activities will be temporarily hidden, including from your Google Calendar if syncing is enabled.
- Completed items remain visible, so you can easily track your accomplishments.
- You can resume the routine at a later time, and all paused activities will reappear in both SAM and Google Calendar, along with the automatic processing you have set up.
Easy Management of Paused Routines
Managing your paused routines is straightforward:
- Access the Routine List on any entity to pause or resume routines swiftly.
- The “Running Routine” popup provides visibility into which records are using a given routine, making it easy to pause from there as well.
- Both locations offer a clear Pause on/off control and a Paused status filter, allowing you to locate any inactive routines with ease.
Automating the Pause Functionality
One of the most powerful features is the ability to automate the pausing of routines within a workflow:
- You can set up actions to automatically pause routines related to the current record or linked listings to a transaction.
- This functionality can align pauses with your schedule or trigger them based on specific events in your process, eliminating the need for manual intervention.
Keeping Track of Paused Activities
Even when a routine is paused, activities can still be viewed under an entity’s Calendar tab and in the routine’s activity list. They are clearly labeled as Paused, ensuring you do not confuse them with active tasks.
You also have the flexibility to pause or resume individual calendar items through the Edit Activity feature, allowing for more granular control without affecting the entire routine.
Conclusion
The introduction of the pause functionality in SAM empowers real estate agents like you with enhanced management over your workflows. By allowing for temporary breaks without losing sight of your productivity, this feature supports a more agile and stress-free work environment. Leverage this new tool to maintain your focus on what matters most—serving your clients effectively.
